My friend bought a gallon of this stuff to strip down the aluminum frame on his mountain bike(powder coat), needless to say he has a lot left over he gave me. I have a 1977 Lund 18' aluminum I am planning on stipping down to bare metal and repainting. Anyone have any experience with 6802. He said he just painted it on and after about 5 minutes was able to spray all the paint off with a hose. Sounds like pretty toxic stuff! do I have to worry about the seams of the boat at all? do they have any rubber membranes between the aluminum seams/rivets that may be eaten up? any info would be appreciated.
