How about a Constitutional Admendment to Nationalize all land belonging to none US Citizens. Pay them a fair appraised price then convert land back to the government.

Then the government could auction the property off to citizens for use by citizens.

I know it will never happen but would not that be fun. Imagine America owned by Americans.

I can't wait to see the price on the honda, toyota and nissan plants in this country. A nationalistic Eminent domain of sorts. Big government redistribution.

Sounds good Tex ,in the long run I believe America would come out with the short end of that stick.

You would reduce the value of properties already owned by citizens by automatically cutting out a good share of potential purchasers.

That would cut local tax values and revenues, and would mean either cuts in services, or increase in other taxes.

We are in a global economy. No matter how much you may want to, you simply can't wish it away.

I have to agree with rwise. When you take into consideration the tax aspect and the zoning regs you really don't have much control over your own land. :(

Not even mentioning imminent domain, if a rich developer decides to build a stadium or mall on your land. :(
