Anybody use one of these ? They are expensive but would solve storage issues. How hard to fill at the gas station ? Do they move all over in waves ?

expensive, but if I don't have a lot of 6 gal tanks clutterring up the deck, possibly worth it.

the clutter only goes away when empty and that is only IF you have a compartment to stow them in. The only use I could see for one of those is....... well burning up money.

Cool idea, but way too rich for my blood, and I thought $40 + for a plastic 6 gallon was crazy.

Exactly... And when your fuel tank is empty, who is worried about room? You should be at the dock / on the trailer by then anyway. Unless we're talking multiples of these tanks, in which case we're also talking a thousand dollars plus in fuel tanks for what is bound to be a small boat based on capacity.

It is a wide, space hog, that costs a fortune, for a plastic bag. It would be a real tripping hazard at night in rough weather. Black bag sliding around. Where is the DEFINATE space for expansion of hot summer day gases to be safely vented ? How would you disconnect & reconnect a fuel line by yourself with out a rigid fitting ?
It really looks like a surgery I V bag.

NO USCG approval was mentioned. 2nd site.
Do all fuel containers have to be USCG or Canadian approved ?

Different just to be different ?

The bag looks like a cigarette, Knife or fishhook would cause a leak.

Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to just buy old tanks off of CL and throw them overboard when empty?
Call it "exchange a tank". The guy with room on his boat just picks up the floaters and puts them back on CL. :D

That's just how I got my new 6 gallon tank. It washed up into my yard after the last storm. It's my best tank. It even came with a fuel hose and Yamaha fitting. No gas, though...
