Re: Nauticus Smart tabs

Hi William,
I had my first few hours on the water yesterday with the Smart Tabs on the boat, and my first impression was very positive. See this thread:

http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=011944

With the Smart Tabs you'll plane at a lower speed, the bow won't rise as much, and the ride will be smoother and more stable. Also, the tabs need no tending to, they are just there and do what they're supposed to do.

I can only highly recommend them!

Nauticus Smart tabs

I would like to fit a set of Nauticus Smart Tabs instead of the normal type of trim tabs. Have any of you boaters out there had any experiences with this particular type of trim tabs, either good or bad, I would like to know, What are the advantages and disadvantages,of this type of Trim tab.
Kind regards,
William Wright

Hey William, do a search on them. Lots of info about them on iboats.Response seems be very positive. They may not suit your needs though. helm adjusted are more appropriate for some boats, depending on what you need them to do.

Jim

Re: Nauticus Smart tabs

I've had both. Smart Tabs on an 18' bow rider and Bennett tabs on a 24' cruiser. I feel the Smart Tabs are appropriate for a smaller boat and helm adjustable tabs are appropriate for a larger boat. The Smart Tabs were a great improvement for my 18' Stingray.
