I hope someone can help me, I know that the Nav/Anc switch is a on left off middle and on right switch. I also know that when the switch is to the left on Nav , my dash lights work and both my front light and back light work now my question is what should work when the switch is in tha Anc mode or to the right?

Can someone please help me with this!

Re: NAV/ANC Switch question!

To add a bit more info to this - when you are stopped (as in anchored & not moving) the white light is all that is supposed to be on. Instrument lights do not light (generally) in this position since there is no need to see them when stopped. With just the white light on other boaters know you are not moving and can navigate accordingly. When you are underway (even drifting) the Red/Green nav lights AND the white light must be on. This tells other boaters you are moving and again when they see the combination of red/green/white lights they can tell you are moving and in which direction so they can navigate accordingly.

To control two circuits separately with one switch, use a switch with two poles.
