Which battery do I hook mt lights up to? The cranking battery or the deep cycle battery. DO I need some kind of regulator or can I hook it directly to the battery with a switch?

Re: Navigation Lights (which Battery?)

The deep cycle one.
As long as your nav lights are 12v and your deep cycle battery is 12v, you do not need any sort of converter. But a fuse between the battery and switch is manditory. A 5A fuse will cover whatever sort of nav lights you attach and protect the wiring.
Good luck!
