My 2004 Navigator 165CS has two spacious rod boxes but they have no way of preventing them from becoming tangled. So I made a couple of racks (one for each end of the port side rod box) which solved the problem. There are seven rods in this box. Five in the racks and there is still room beneath them for two or three larger rods. The racks cost about a two bucks to make. they mount under the fore and aft rod box frame rails with three stainless wood screws.

Thanks Pony. I'm blessed to have a wife that loves to fish as much as I do. We fish hard and long and if we break a line or lose a lure we just grab another rod that's already set to go. That's a real pain when the rods are all tangled up.

I'm still waiting for them to invent fishing line that doesnt get knotted up. I really can't figure out how it is possible for line to get that tangled so easily. For that reason alone I too rig multiple rods.
