Hi all Newb here and I just ordered a Humminbird 788 ci HD DI. Now what maps to get, lakemaster doesn't offer one for my area, upstate NY - lake George and the Navionics choices are confusing. for instance......
HB say the 788 does 3D chart views but the Navionics says their lakes premium east charts are 2D.
(Navionics Platinum is not compatible with my HB788 HD DI)
Navionics web page is showing a " new " product.....Navionics + that they said is the best (more detail, yada, yada) for new customers.
So, what up with the 2D/3D and which charts are better, lakes premium east or navionics+? (Upstate NY, Lake George, Champlain, Sacandaga, Schroon, etc)
My main desire is for good ( or best?) navigational charts, fishing is secondary.
Do any of these products show the rivers, esp. the Hudson, on their charts ?
