ne1 confirm what engine i have by these numbers

can someone please confirm these numbers or let me know how to all my paperwork says its a 40 hp by after reading a ton of posts i think it might be a 35 hp 1968 evinrude model 35530L serial 05923

DSL.... Model 35530 is a 1962 40hp Evinrude. You asked previously if it was a electric or manual shift. If there's a shift lever on the starboard side, it's a manual shift, if not.... electric.

thx for the reply my paperwork says its a 68 i wonder if this will cause a prob registering the motor ne help?

DSL..... Don't know if the incorrect year of the engine will cause a problem in registering the rig, but if someone sold me a engine and stated that it was a 1968, then later I found it was a 1962.... they would have a problem (grin).
