nedd help with a hanimex 7.5hp 1975

I have a hanimex 1975 model 7.5 hp air cooled engine and the last time i took it out it seemed to go alright for a couple of minutes and then cut out, so i had to keep restarting it every couple of minutes.
Would anyone have any info on these old motors, would be much appreciated

That was built by Eska model 1976A.It uses a Tecumseh AV-817 aircooled powerhead with a water cooled exhaust leg.Water should mist out the relief holes in the leg.If its on a remote tank I would suspect the pump element in the carb mount flange.Also be sure all hoses,connectors and quick connects are good.
You may find a generic service manual covering many brands at the library.

Thanks for the reply, i have since replaced the spark plug and this has stopped it from stalling, but it still runs very sluggish and the revs semm to fluctuate slightly while moving, any more info would be much appreciated
