Need 1970 Mercontrol expanded parts diagram

Hello, I am looking and can not seem to find a Mercontrol #45880 or superceded #45882 exploded diagram view of parts. I took control apart to replace a key switch and am not sure where the two cylinderical bb's go that fell out when I opening control. ( I assume they go some where around the two shifting discs. but I have been starring at it and can not figure it out) I can be hard headed so any extra explaination as to where they go/how they are placed and a diagram of parts break down would be sooo helpful. Here is a link to a mercontrol diagram, http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show...r=28&bdesc=REMOTE+CONTROL+ASSEMBLY+(ELECTRIC) . It is not the best but it has the exploded parts. If the piece is barrel shaped then it is part number 3. It goes between the detent spring, #2, and the main body. Mine popped out when I opened it but it was fairly easy to put back in. Hope this helps.
