need 1999 4 stroke 4 hp carb

I need a carb, prefer used for a 1999 merc 4 hp 4 str # 0R004061. I haven't had any luck with the salvage yards I've e-mailed, either they don't respond or they can't help me because the part numbers don't correspond for canadian to american, I'm located in B.C. Any help would be great, the local marine mechanic can get me a new one but, they want $300.00 for the carb alone. Thanks
