Need 25 Merc Power Block

Anybody got a late model block that can be rebuilt as engine thru rod from lack of oil and ruined aluminum cylinder. There is no steel sleeve to bore.

You can find a steel sleeve from Precision MFG in Clearwater Florida, 1-800-237-5947. The sleeves come from LA sleeve in Calif, should find a dealer in Arkansas. Try Jerrys Triumph out from Little Rock toward Benton or Tommy at Jacksonville Cycle in Jacksonville Arkansas, they should point you to a machine shop to do the work.

clantorn. Can I put a sleeve in the new sleeveles design? I had been told these are throw away, since they use the unsleeved aluminum with a special ni-chrome finish. Hope you are right.

Do you know a friend of mine, Charles Johnson, a neat sail boat type of guy in Panama City? He is really from GA but house a house near a big marina. I am going down in a week or so to see his new boat. I bought his Compac 23 last year.

They list a sleeve for a 2000 model in the catalog that I was looking at. I go to Panama City to visit my dau and her husband. I will be there the 8th Jan for a week. Dont know a lot of people there yet, but am planing on the summer there. Capt Ken has a shop out close to the beach. I met him about 4 months ago.

Maybe we will run in to each other if we get to go. Father in law is in a long term situation and we never know. I'll keep in touch here. Charles bought an old house a block from the Marina, and all the guys hang out there. I don't rember the name of the place but it is S of downtown and is some kind of bayou. A Yacht club house is between the water and large boat repair facility. He knows a lot of people and maybe we can go see his boat. His wife said they would be there around what sounds like our and your intended schedule.
