need 85 -140 throttle bodies

the round flat brass blades that are in each bore,of each carb on my 85-140 have been drilled larger than the stock holes.i want to put the stock ones back on and cant find them.plus they are only sold with the whole bodies..if you can find them.I cant.I really need just the blades,but I would buy the bodies if someone had them.I can post a part # tomorrow. thanks

If we're on the same page, those are called 'butterflies' and I'm not sure which holes you're refering to. Could you post a picture?<br /><br />c/6<br />Hooty

tony120, A couple things come to mind.I don't think 85 HP and 140 HP engines share the same carbs.The throat dia is not the same.<br /> You say the brass blades in the carbs have been drilled out.They can be soldered in and redrilled. I would redrill 25% less for a start.<br />DHP

DHP,I mean 1985-140.Hooty they are the butterflys,sorry for the lack of terminolgy.Hooty if I solder them up...and I thought of doing it, some how I think with the fuel and how well I can solder,I cant help but think about sucking a piece of lead through the reeds and, well ,you can guess the rest.I just would like to find the stock ones. I even though of going richer on the idle jet.It's barely a pin hole.no #s on them.thanks for the quick reply.

got busy sorry Hoot.the stock butterflys have 2 screws vertical that hold the butterfly to the shaft.mine and everybody elses has 2 holes in each butterfly horizontal too.but mine are HUGE compared to the factory evo manual.probly double the size

What are the numbers that are printed on the carburetor bodies? I'll match them against what I have here.

Tony, take Rodbolt up on his offer. Whatever the cost, and I'll bet its very reasonable, it'll be worth it to have a matched set.
