Hello

I need a detailed description on how to remove my seperate oiltank.

Ive read that you only should remove the tube and the cable who warn you of the oillevel.

I think this seems to simple. If i let a workshop do the job they take a good cost for it, so I wonder if there is a better way to do it than just remove the tube and plug the hole?

I know that the "oilpump" is the same as the fuelpump, what is the best way of pluging the hole? Any experiences?

My outboard: Evinrude 40 HP VRO -88

Thanks!

/Christian

Welcome!!

If you want to remove the oil injection you simply unplug the oil line going into the pump and plug that nipple on the pump. Unhook the wiring harness to the pump. Then remove the oil tank as an assembly.

Then add oil to the gas and away you go.
