Need a gimbal brg, but dont know which #

I need a gimbal bearing, for a 1980 cobalt, merc 260. 5.7l v8 pre alpha drive.

I cant read the ser # on the bell housing. And im not finding a part listing for the 260..

Anyways, Heres the problem, The transom plate broke on both sides of the engine, it broke the ears off that the rear motor mounts bolt to.
When I went to pull the drive off, the rear of the engine was sitting low in the boat, and had the drive shaft in a bind, I had to lift the rear of the engine to get the drive off. Could this have damaged the bearing? The bearing was fine before this happened, the engine was never run with the mounts broken.

it may not of hurt it.but they arent very expensive top take a chance.most mercruisers take the same bearing.omc also.all the 80`s and 90`s i believe r the same.

Well, I didnt think it would hurt it, but I got it all together today and when the engine is running I can hear a humming type noise in the engine area..
I aligned the engine with an alignment tool and when I would spin the tool it sounded like the bearing might be making noise, but I thought the tool could have been rubbing in the coupler making the noise. The bearing didnt have any slop in it and has plenty of grease. And when I put the drive back on it slid right in so im pretty sure that the alignment is right on.
