Need a little help! 25 HP. Marnier

I have just purchased a 25 hp. Marnier used. I need to figure out what the year of motor is, What spark plug size does it take, and some home made modes.

This is the plate on the motor, as follows

25HP Marnier
25 CM Marnier
695 [005579] -- This is the only plate on the motor.

2nd. spark plugs broke off in motor. I removed but need to replace with with correct plugs. What size of NGK or Champion do you recommend?


I will be converting a tiller handle to a console. I have cables not for this motor but cables. I know I can run the throttle cable to the throttle fly but unsure how to connect? This is a manual start motor not electric so I am not worried about all wires matching up.

What would be a easy home made fix for making a cable connect to the shift lever.

How would I get to the impeller to replace it? I know I drop lower unit and unscrew a plasctic top. Will I have to disconnect another area to drop down drive shaft?
