IMHO, nope. I'd look for Champions.

Re: Need a little help with spark plugs

Actually, the correct Champion number is L77JC4 or QL77JC4. That does not mean NKG does not have an equivalent. But I don't know what the correct crossover number would be. That is what you need to find out in order to answer your question.

EDIT: Ok, so I looked it up. QL77JC4 converts to BZ7HS-10, and L77JC4 converts to B7HS-10. Your number is slightly different and I don't know how much of a difference it makes. See, that's the trouble when you start making conversions.

Thank You, I can just order champions I'm not loyal to the NGK's, heck I don't really know which is better. I will order the ones You posted.

Re: Need a little help with spark plugs

The NGK BR7HS-10 is a resistor plug. The are often quoted as equivalents to the recommended Champion QL77JC4 plugs but they are not suitable for the OMC ignition system, and they will cause poor running

The Champion Q series are inductively supressed, not resistor supressed. BZ7HS-10 are inductively supressed and should be suitable.

L77JC4 are not supressed. The NGK equivalent is B7HS-10

Incidentally the heat rate numbers for NGK plugs runs the opposite way to Champions. Higher number is cooler.

The -10 part of the NGK code indicates that they are supplied gapped to 1.0mm (0.040"). The gap now recommended for the engine in question is 0.030".

QL77JC4 are the ones listed.

L77JC4 are not suppressed and will cost less

"Suppressed" means they don't make static noise on AM radios and some electronics.
