Need a manual for an 83 Johnson 115

I boats doesnt have it. At least online I have not had the chance to call yet. But I have not been able to find one elswhere either. I find links on websites for the year and HP but it usually is 3 model numbers uner the year and HP but those links take me no where. I have found the Evinrude book. should I just get that?

Try EBay and look for an OEM shop manual ... the others (Seloc, etc.) are junk. Also Ken Cook website may be able to help. Johnson and Evinrude are the same motor in your year, except for the color and cover.

Very unlikely that you will find a 1983 model-specific factory service manual anywhere. 1983 is one of the years that have all of the OMC recreational outboards in one book, PN 393,765.
