Just purchased a 2006 crownline 202 lpx with a 5.0 liter 270 I/O. Love the boat so far but very depressed about the "out of the hole" speed. I've been slalom skiing for 30 years and have never had a problem getting out of the water, but this boat is so sluggish, I tried 3 times and couldn't get out of the water. In talking to some friends on the dock, they suggested that I need a "hole shot" prop for faster planing speed. I have no idea where to start and don't want to get oversold on some gimmick prop that promises the world but doesn't deliver. Any ideas? Where to start and what should be the range of prices I should expect to pay. I only want to drive my truck to the lake once to pull it out and be done. Thanks for your help in advance.
