need a new prop, question about interchangeability ...

i put a "new" outdrive on my boat, which i think may be the wrong gear ratio. the drive otherwise works fine, and i'd like to keep it, at least as a spare (i'm trying to reseal another drive). anyway, i now turn > 4750 rpm on a 19' runabout, 3.7L alpha 1, instead of the recommended 4600 with my OEM aluminum 23p prop. i was going to try to go to a 25p and see if that helps. looking used, since again, i don't know how this is going to work and if i'm even going to keep this outdrive on there long term. so...
will any 25p merc prop work, or are there differences between i/o and ob? how else should i go about looking?

Ayuh,... Any prop that fits any of the Alpha series of drives will also fit the Large gearcase outboards,+ the Bravo I drives...

At merely 150rpms over spec,....
I'd leave it alone,+ just not Hammer it at WOT...
