need a part for a 1986 Evinrude 15 HP - E15RCDE

Hi guys,

I recently installed a seal kit in my motor - a 1986 Evinrude 15 HP (E15RCDE).
The water intake screen (BRP-0318991) was dry rotted and fell apart.
I looked online for one but everyone says they're obsolete/vintage and out of production.

Does anyone know where i can get one of these?

couple of thoughts...I've read on the forum about contacting a local dealer and asking them to use the dealer network < hotline? > to locate parts..maybe the salvage yards listed under the Top Secret Files?

Seaway Marine in Seattle is incredible for parts. You can reach them at 206-937-7373. I'm in the process of restoring a 1957 Johnson 35 HP Javelin. I called them last week with a list of about 25 parts and they had all of them in stock. I also just needed the water inlet screens for a 1980 35 HP. Everywhere I went on the internet said they were obsolete. Seaway had them.

Call around, I had the same thing happen to me and my local dealer here in town had one, square block with a bunch of holes, just shoves down into the housing.
