Need a prop 4 an older 7.5hp mercury motor

I melted the hub when taking off the prop.... I can't seem to find anyone (online) that sells smaller props for these motors. My local places wanna charge me $100 just to re-hub the one I got!! It's a 8 inch prop, are they serious!!!! Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can you be more specific for "older 7.5.
I found 2 props in stock here for a 76, 7.5 through hub exhaust 8 spline.

It is actually a Merc 75....I believe the following year they started calling them the Mercury 7.5.....made between 1973-76.... I can get a model number, or I can measure the old prop I took off.....what would be the most helpful in finding a new prop??? Thanks in advance.

Post the serial number and we can pin the year down.

Check the prop for numbers part number or actuel size _ _ X _ _.
Is it an 8 spline,through hub?
