Need a tow?

Several years back we were 20 miles out of Cape Canaveral and experienced a bout with water in the fuel. Just when we thought we would have to call seatow along came a good Samaritan. The captain offered us a tow and we gladly accepted. Shortly after hooking up my 10 year old asked me if he could troll. I said no that it might make the captain of our towboat mad. My other son said he didn't think it would hurt if we slipped a line overboard without them seeing us so I agreed. After all we had been fishing all day without even a bite. Ten minutes later my 10 year old hooked up with the sailfish of a lifetime. It was a little embarrassing to me but the other captain got a kick out of it.

I'm sure I'm not the only one to do this next stupid trick but I once drove off with the water hose still connected to my lower unit. I returned home to a flooded yard and a huge plumbing repair job.

The first one is hilarious, the second, I feel for you.
