I bought a 14 foot Glasspar runabout boat. I don't know a lot about boats. In fact, even the process of learning about it. I have looked every where for a windshild but to no avail. Is there a place that sells them that is reasonable in price or a salvage yard maybe?

Hmm, Right here in Kalispell?, I also live in Kalispell and just bought a glasspar Sport Lido last Sunday. As far as windshields, you might have a tough time, the last couple of boats I have restored, I had to make the windshields myself, I have done one out of plexi and one out of lexan, not all that difficult to build yourself a new windshield, but it does take some patience.

Try contacting Taylor Made; they make a stock line for older classics that retro's pretty well (and is pretty reasonable; although the term reasonable is subjective :) If I remember correctly around $500 for the complete windshield and mounting hardware... I am going with them on a 14' restoration job that I'm working on. Hope this helps! http://www.taylormarine.com/windshields/index.html

Wow. If your here in the Flathead Valley would you consider being paid to make a replacement Windshield out of lexan? I have had my boat all tuned up and ready to go in the lake this weekend. I would really like to have a windshield and would pay someone that has some experience making one.? Let me know MTboatguy
