Re: need a year for my seaking
That's a 1958 35 hp, made by Gale, a division of OMC, manufacturers of Johnson and Evinrude outboards.

You're in luck with this motor. Parts are readily available. It's essentially the same as the RD-19 Johnson 35hp model.

Fuel:Oil mixture is 24:1 (1qt. per 6gal of 87 octane gasoline)

When looking for parts, you're looking for parts for that 1957-58 RD-19 or RD-19C Johnson outboard. Ignition parts and carburetor parts are easy to find, since they are carried by Sierra Marine, available at all NAPA auto parts dealers.

Point gap is .020"
Spark plug should be a Champion J6C, gapped at .030"

Many other parts are available at your local Johnnyrude dealer, although you may find that you have to convince them that they still have these parts.

I believe the only real difference between this motor and the RD-19 is that yours will have a fuel pump, so it uses the single line gas tank, rather than the 2-line pressure tank.

Lots of owners of these Big Twin engines here. To get help, post questions on the Johnson/Evinrude form, referencing the Johnson RD-19 in the title of your threads. You can explain in the message that it's a Sea King.
