I am trying to build a "windbreak" for my open bow boat. It's the type that installs between the cockpit and the front bow area directly under the windshield. I've seen them on other boats, however mind does not have one. I have an idea of what type of Aluminum extrusion I would like to find, but can't seem to find one. I wondered if there was someone with more experience that could direct me to a company that would have a similar one stocked. I would like to run the extrusion vertically down each side of the console and then be able to slide a piece of plexiglass into place to block the wind. Here is a .jpg of the profile I would like to find:<br />

Why not buy a piece of heavy vinyl material. Sew a hem all the way around it, install some snaps and simply snap the wind break on when needed and it would be easier to store as well. I make my own boat covers and use an old Sears Kenmore sewing machine. Believe me, it ain't rocket science. Snaps are cheap, material is cheap, and thread is cheap. You can rent the machine if your life partner won't lend you theirs.

Mine came factory setup with a canvas cloth with snaps as Upinsmoke describes. I don't use it often, but it's waiting there rolled up in a little cubbyhole for the occasional long cold ride.
