NEED ADVISE on cleaning agents.

I finished gutting my cabin and I'm despretely looking for a cleaner. Obviously it needs to be fiberglass safe. There isn't anything else in the cabin but unfinished fiberglass. It should be able to take off contact cement, the mildew smell and generally clean too.

I've read acetone or mineral spirits may work. Can anyone verifiy this or recommend a solution.

Before you go throwing all those chemicals in there try some of the citrus based cleaners, i.e. Goof Off or similiar. Try scraping any really tuff stuff first.
Besides - it's better for your lungs...............!

A note to everyone, be really careful with solvents in your cabin and hold, they can blow up and also asphyxiate (sp?) you if you don't have enough ventilation.

having worked construction all may life, sanding, wire wheel, and laquer thinner is all i know that will remove contact cement. mildew, just good ole bleach.
