Or just go with a stock aftermarket unit with waterproof switches, such as the Blue Seas panels.

Check Great Lakes Skipper (greatlakesskipper.com) for new old stock/overstock on switches, gauges, and entire panels. Very reasonable prices and a very wide selection of stuff.

Pirate, A picture of your current setup would help. When the switches on my old SeaRay (metallic colored, lighted, toggle type) would break, I could disassemble them and clean the contacts. They would usually work, unless the spring broke

You can try switches that are a bit larger, or get some filler panels that are sold for that purpose. You can try some plexi or aluminum panels that can be glued over the original.

Cool site but I just tried to order a key chain and a 1 1/2" emblem and they wanted $10.95 for shipping?!

$17.94 for a puffy sticker and a padded style floating key chain plus $10.95 shipping is it getting hand delivered by a hottie?

Pirate, what do the switches look like? post a pic or find a pic on the internet and post a pic from there. Push/pull switch, rocker switch, paddle switch.

The switches on my old 72 SeaSwirl's dash were not waterproof, lasted 35 years and never gave me problems,,, they were completely soaked many times. But this panel I installed on my jon boat has been wet 2 times and has given me fits since then, I would avoid this type of switch as it does not seem to like moisture

Fuse holders seem pretty rinky dink also,,, something just waiting to break...

I've seen complete marine new old stock (manufacturer left overs) switch panels being sold on Ebay for incredibly low prices, $10-20 for a complete new switch panel including resettable breakers.

+1 for this site...I found OEM gauges for a 1985 boat there!

As for shipping (and handling)...I can't say that they are any bargain. But they were the only source for my gauges, so I was very happy.

You could use washers and/or rubber grommets depending on how big the holes are. I assuming the holes are too big since you could always drill out smaller holes.
