does anybody know were i can get a alternator and alt belt and a motor manual for a 60tys 75 hp johnson model#v4sl-12s ser#2l01808 online or anywere else pleasee help thanks

Model # says it's a 1960.<br /> <br />1966 numbers are <br />VX-12<br />VXH-12<br />V4S-18<br />V4A-18

I tried to get that belt for my '64 Rudie and was told it's obsolete now. Apparently they didn't work well to start with. Who knows, you might get a belt and find out the alternator doesn't work anyways.<br />Maybe you can first spin the alternator with a rubber wheel and see if you get any current before buying a belt.

you can bring the old belt to a parts store and they can match one up or you can measure it and they can give you one that way

i know there probly isint but never hurts to ask does anyone know if i can put some other alt (one wire marine) like for a chevy inboard or something maybe some other year model outboard alt?
