I bought this basket case boat, and some how the starter must have fallen out of one of them. So I have nothing to go by on my search for one for this boat. I found the starter I need online, but I'm not 100% sure which one I need, CW or CCW?

The motor bell housing says left hand rotation. If this is true, looking at the front of the engine turns CW. For the starter motor to turn the enging CW, shouldn't it be CCW? Or do they call it a CW starter since the engine turns CW?

Thanks

Re: NEED DIRECTIONS (starter rotation)

This can be VERY confusing. You didn't mention what motor(s) you have. Chris Craft, Crusader, Indmar and Flagship to name a few have produced inboard and V-drive engines. Starter motor rotation depends on engine rotation and starter mounting (top mount -- bottom mount). Call Jack at Flagship (800-282-2840) with your engine make and model and he can help you figure out what you need.

Good luck!
