I have a remote '03 25hp 4-stroke yamaha with a 15" shaft that sits under a low polling platform and is near impossible to reach around and lift it up. the problem is the 15 inch shortshaft cant come with factory trim and\or tilt. i found out that the other small/mid range motors have some sort of gas assist to aid in lifting the engine up. if there is any advise on where to find such a thing, let me know.
thanks

Yes it will cost but it is worth every penny of it. Just got thru installing a pt135 on mine and it is easy to do and works like a charm.

Why can't you get, or add, factory TT on the 15" shaft, or adapt the TT from the 20" shaft?

Factory TT should be available for that 15".

How about a pulley on the underside of the polling platform with a rope attached to the L/U and on the other end a weight just less than the force required to lift the motor? :D :D

Better yet, attach the free end of the rope to a bucket and let it drag behind the boat - the motor will lift itself. No, wait, that won't work...
