Need help adjusting steering cable

I have an 88 Chris Craft Cavalier and I have a problem with the steering. Not so much with the operation of the system, but with the mis-alignment of the steering wheel. I have looked for a way to adjust the cable like setting toe on a car but had no such luck. I know it is only cosmetic problem but it is begining to drive me nuts while driving looking at the steering wheel. I like to be able to know exactly which way the prop is turned even when not moving.

Looking under the dash I believe it is not a rack and pinion setup but the rotary style with just a single cable going to the rear transom. If anyone has any help into this matter I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
