hey there guys!.. ive come to a point in witch i cant figure out solo...and am hopefull that some of you will chime in and bail me out . AGAIN...:D I am going to wrap my plywood stringers in 2 layers of 1708 like in the drawing..feel free to tell me if im doing something wrong here!!!
my dilema is at the bilge area, whre the ply runs from port to starboard and the bottom of the ply will have the the hull shape.. THE GREEN ARROW. is there a technique in laying 1708 at the bottom to comform with the shape of the hull ? do i need to make multiple cuts ? i just figure its gonna be tricky getting the v shape going..
also in the bilge area where theres 90 corners whats the best method of binding those corners together?

Ayuh,... You've got to leave a limber hole there to drain the water from the bilge...

yeah! i got that part..im installing 2 inch pvc cut in half running through the middle, but the thing im not sure about is if im gonna have a problem when i get to laying down the 1708 from the bulk head to the hull? will it want to fold over and overlap? is it okay to leave that way?i just want to know what to expect and dont want to be in the middle of setting and not know what to do... 1708 and corners dont go together is what ive heard..

I've been doing fiberglass boat repair/building for 28 years now. Going into the V snip at corner of bulkhead and bottom/ Just a snip it will conform, just work it. As far as the corners are concerned cut and overlap. One cut is sufficient directly into the corner. Any ? E- Mail me
