I have no idea about what type of anchors to use. I have a 19 foot Skeeter fish and ski and use it only in fresh water. A little advice on what type of anchor and accompanying accessories needed would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Well pilgrim (as John W boy used to say) you need to provide us with a lot of facts. You tell us your situation and what you plan to do in the process of anchoring, weather/wave details, depth, bottom structure and all and we can come up with the answer.

There are as many anchor types as you have fingers on your hands and each is unique for a reason.

HTH

Mark

I was afraid of that. I use the boat on reservoirs that can be as deep as 60 feet and on the Colorado River where it can be 5 - 10 feet. Not much of a problem with waves or rough current. I don't plan on anchoring on the main rivers, but in the small lakes that are attached to it. The water is usually 5 - 10 feet on those small lakes. On the reservoirs the water is usuall over 20 feet in the places I would anchor. Only waves I can imagine would be from the other boats hauling skiers and such.

One of the mushroom type river anchor and 4 ft. of chain would probably work well for you.
thats what i use and it seems to hold well.
