Need help control box cable electrical harness 1979 merc 70 vs 2003 40hp elpto

Anyone have a pinout or diagram for the merc 70 input connector?
My engine has the rectangle connector. Six pin perhaps?


Doe mercury make an adapter cable so I can use this older engine with a newer circa 2003 control box . I have currently a smll 2003 40hp mercury tracker 2cyl I want to remove and drop in this older merc 70

The electrical skematic should be on the maxrules web site. I doub't there is a merc made connector. The 70HP Merc may have the old wire colors. Cross connect is easy, once you figure out how to make the connection. I spliced a new merc boat harness to my old control box, to hook up a '93 Merc to replace my '77 merc..
