Ok here is my situation....

I just bought a "bass" boat. I live on the water and my boat is always in the lake.

I want to be able to cover it easily and quickly when not in use to protect it and it's contents from the elements.

The problem I have is that the cover it came with is one of those custom fit jobs that really is only good for storing/trailering the boat. It's a pain in the *** to put on and it collects pools of rain water on it.

Any suggestions on what to use to cover it quickly and easily while it's still in the water?

My dock is very small and I need to be in the boat to cover it... starting from the stern and making my way to the bow so I can get out and step onto the dock.

Any help here is greatly appreciated!

your only choice is to have a custom "mooring" cover made for it. the type that snaps one the gunnels, you will also need some support poles for the center.
similar to this.

Build an extension on your dock :)

Yeah... but I would still need a cover for it...

Anyone have any pics of what you all use to cover the boat while it's still in the water?

Or links to different products I could look at?

Any help is appreciated.

I just use my trailering boat cover but my boat sits on a lift which makes it very easy to strap down as there are lots of anchor points. Have you considered one of those? To me it is one of the best investments I have made as it keeps it secure and it doesn't get any dock rash........Irv964

I never could get the poles or the "t's" that hold up the cover to work worth a darn. By the time I worked from the stern to the bow, they would fall over. Finally about three boats ago, I put in a cheap plastic lawn/patio chair that I braced the pole to using ty wraps. On one boat, just having the chair on the bow kept the cover tight enough. All the water would drain off. Being plastic, it would not harm the cover.
Each of the last three boat have been able to use this chair/pole combination.
