need help-evinrude fleetwin 7.5 bogs at 3/4 throttle

my 1994 evinrude fleetwin 7.5 bogs down at 3/4 throttle. Ive heard this could be a broken shock absorber in the gear case, but is it possible that the high speed needle on carb is not adjusted causing this. any help appreciated.

YES, But try draining carb float bowls and checking for crud first.

Could be a number of things - check the easiest things first:
1. Do you have spark on both cylinders? Check when engine is warmed up. Sometimes a bad coil cuts out when it gets hot.
2. Have you cleaned and rebuilt the carb?
3. Is engine overheating?
If 1,2, and 3 check out ok, then yes, it could be the shock absorber.
