I have a 1995 20HP Mariner, manual start, long shaft, #0G115436. I want to convert to electric starting (and do not need to add charging system since I will recharge the battery as needed). I cannot locate any info regarding what flywheel will fit and also wonder if only a ring gear needs to be added. Can anyone steer me toward some reference numbers for which parts I need? Perhaps a range of other models, years and HP's would give me more to search for. Thank you.

The factory kit would come with the ring gear and all the bits needed.----Parts motor is often the most economical way to do this.---You might find that the 9.9 / 15 hp use the same starter.

easiest and cheapest way to convert a manual start to electric start is below:

sell the manual start converting it to small pile of cash
empty wallet onto small pile of cash turning it into larger pile of cash
take larger pile of cash and buy the motor you want.

not only does this process work 100% of the time, its actually cheaper than trying to hunt down all the parts individually
