Need Help Finding Mercruiser Manual

I have a 94 Crownline boat with a 5.7 engine and Merc Alpha I sterndrive. The drive says "PowerTrimXD" on the side. I have the serial # if needed. It also says "Model I" on the drive.

My question: I am having trouble determing the right manual. I've looked on eBay, and the shop manuals don't seem to go by year/make (I don't want a Clymer or Seloc). Can someone link me to a copy of the right manual? Also, do I have a Gen I or a Gen II?

Post the serial numbers for the drive and the engine.
If it's a 94 drive, it's an Alpha I Gen II, but not sure about that Model 1 thing.

Transcom Serial #: OF330400

BTW - I am losing it...went back and found no indication of the "Model 1" marking that I had written down.

Yea, I can tell. You are dealing with boats and trying to act normal......... Sorry, ain't gonna' happen. ;)

Anyway, back at the ranch.
The manual you need for the drive is Book #14 Merc PN 90-818177-3 and here is a link to that manual (free of course)

For your engine, you need book #17, PN 90-823225-1, sorry, no online for that one.

Thanks Don. The link to #14 only has two pages. Is it really for free? I thought nothing was ever for free, especially when dealing with boats 8) Is the rest of the manual somewhere in the main menu section?

Click on the BIG RED BOX around Alpha I Gen II ( Not the main menu button)
Then look for the red squares around the different sections.

RRRRrrrroger on the BIG RED BOX...first I'm seeing things with the "Model I" siting now I'm missing a box so big it almost reached out and smacked me in the face.

Who cares cause I couldn't be happier with my new boat. The Merc has been great although I did chew up the prop at low tide this weekend. Things could be worse though and it should be a quick fix.

Merc manual 17 is Merc manual 17, doesn't matter if it's on CD or paper back.
If you wanted to order it from Mercruiser, you would need the PN because they don't use numbers like "17" for the manual.
