So I posted yesterday about my F115 running sluggish and changing the fuel/water separator and checking the VST filter. Put it in the water today and nothing has changed. WOT is 6 mph and low rpms. Thoughts? Is it a bad fuel pump? Which one? My question is, is it the low pressure fuel pump and is it located on the back of the motor on the bottom left? If it is the high pressure pump, is it located in the VST? I do not have a way to check fuel pressure since I don't have guages. However, the bulb does not stay hard. i can pump it up to hard and then it gets soft quickly. Any help is more than appreciated. Thanks!

if you do not have the service manual for your motor or the tools/equipment to troubleshoot/work on it, then buy them or take to someone that does

I have the manual. That's how I got to the VST and removed it. It was clean and I could see through it. I do not have the guages to check fuel pressure, but I imagine it is a bad fuel pump or clogged injectors or both. I'm almost out of hair from pulling it all out.

Hi,
Be sure you aren't having fuel quality issues. Take the end off of the fuel line, squeeze about a cupful into a clear glass jar using the primer bulb. Good fuel will be clear with a good smell, cloudy means you need to pump till it gets clear.
Good bites to you,
John

Fuel was fresh and less than a week old. Anyway, I sent my injectors to be cleaned and ordered a fuel pump and filter. Hopefully that will take care of me. If not, then I'm stumped.

Try starting the motor on a 6 gallon tank directly to the motor
