The drain plug on my 1965 15' Starcraft (aluminum) lets water into boat. A nice gentle stream. The gasket on there was leather drieded up. Replaced it with a rubber washer, that help but still some water. Put two washers on thinking would compress more but still some water.
So any ideas on type washer or material to make one.A boat place told me they don't make that washer anymore,What to use and where to buy washer or material?
Would teflon tape help on the threads?...but one has to put new tape each time...that's no fun.
That is the only leak. I'm looking forward to a dry boat...

Michael

Buy a piece of leather and cut out your own.

You could probably use a chunk of old belt.

I use the teflon tape, only takes a minute and no leaks.
