my neighbor got a boat with a 79 johnson sea horse v 4. im trying to seperate the lower half so we can change the impeller, but will only drop down about 1 inch does the shifter have to be in forward if not what do i have to do. we dont have a manuel for it yet, any help would be appreciated thanks for any help in advance
