Serial number 0G465407. I have an after market kill switch I want to hook up but I'm unsure about how to do it. The factory kill switch in my service manual has a black/yellow wire and a black wire going to it from the ignition switch. I have a Quicksilver accessory switch and I can see the black/yellow wire but there is no way to put in a wire there. I found the black/yellow wire at the engine but I don't know how to use it. Can I splice into that then run the wire to the kill switch? Should I cut the wire then connect to it and run that to the kill switch or do something else. On the switch is four male spade connectors marked M-I-M-I for magneto and ignition. One last question is would the black/yellow wire connect to M and the ignition wire is purple? I do have access to the purple wire at the ignition switch so that's not a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks.

I guess my Mercury isn't old enough to get a response...I'll try a different forum.
