need help identifying a part on 1982 Evinrude90

i can't seem to find this bracket/part in any diagram or manual i have read. it is the pivot arm that the entire motor turns on. its quite corroded and the bearing sounds like it needs to be changed out. if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. i will try to get a picture asap, but the lights in my garage currently aren't working :facepalm:

Go to boats.net and plug in your motor. Go to exhaust housing and there it is.

#43 = Steering Arm......... #1 = Swivel Bracket

thanks for the help! only problem now is that the part is unavailable on the site -_- hopefully once its warmer out and i get the motor apart it will just be superficial damage and nothing to the structure. Thanks again!

If it is a 25 inch leg, then the swivel bracket is still available. Part #0389336. If it's a 20 inch model, then it looks like you're out of luck for a new part.

i believe its a 20", but i'll have to double check. does anyone know if the bracket is the same for other years? otherwise looks like i'll be doing some fabrication

I've come across some information that says as long as it is a 20" shaft, all upper steering arms for V4's, V6's and V8's are the same from 1982-1997. Can anyone else confirm this?

http://shop2.evinrude.com has all of the part numbers and diagrams for the motors from 1974 on.
