I have a OLD 1967 Caravelle 16 foot the Vin/Hin # is A2010967
Green in color its a closed bow, but it has a flap that lets up when the center window is open so you can get up on the bow.

It came with a matching Johnson 100 hp So I believe it was a package deal,
thanks for any info

Re: need help identifying my boat.

Honestly, That era was the hey day of my early boating days and I do not recall a Caravelle. Caravelle brand is a much newer boat, unless someone such as Larson called one of their models a Caravelle. Also, it was unheard of for boat companies to rig a "package deal". Now, the dealer may have rigged the boat, but ALWAYS one would choose the boat and then his power. It just did not happen back then to pre-rig a boat. Ahhhh the good ole days.

It would help us lot to to help you identify things if you would most pictures and one of the BIA tag is it had one. It's difficult to conclude anything from what you 'think". You must remember too, that boat builders back then might have built 4 or 5 boats and that was the end of their production. They'd load them up on a trailer and head out to dealers with the only inventory they would ever have and may or may not sell the load. There are lots of nondescript boats lying around that met their fate just like that. You just might have a prize?

A Caravelle, they're an old name, probably as old as Larson, and they were some pretty nice, & slick looking boats in their time. I remember wanting a Sleek 1972- 18 footer that was molded in a Burgundy color! ;) But, over the years, I never connected with one :(

Pictures would help, just click on the links below where it says "manage attachments" and it will pop up a window to add a picture, and it will allow you to browse off your computer, but please downsize first to 640X480 then just download it ;)
