My new boat is proving to be a hastle to find out what it is. The identi plate shows model #41606, but I can't seem to find it anywere on the net. The best I can figure it's a 1972 Shark 1700. Tri hull I/O 4 cyl Volvo. Any info would be greatly apreciated. Thanks, Aaron

I believe I've found it. By a photo anyway. 1970 Shark 1650. The '72 looks a little differnt. Also has a GM 4 cyl and OMC sterndrive rated to 150 hp.:D. Anyway, she's getting new floor, carpet and vinal.

You should be able to find all of the info on your boat at Larson's web site. Click on the archives tab on their home page. Good luck!!

Re: Need help identifying my new Larson.

Floor, carpet and vinal done. Took her out on the Pueblo Res yesterday and foud a couple "isues". The fuel pump being the largest. I can only get about 2/3 throttle. 'Had the wife drive while I looked at the inline fuel filter. I can't see any gas in it and it still runs. It hasn't been on the water in 9 years and I could only run it up to about 1200 rpm with the hose adapter out in the driveway. No test like a on the water test though. Also found out that the bildge pump doesn't work. Ran for about 2 hours with 10 gallons of fresh premium gas and a bottle of carb cleaner.

It is, as I found, a 1970 Larson Shark 1650. I haven't found out what engine other than GM 4 cyl nor can I find a model number for the OMC stringer drive yet.
