I'm looking for the triangle shaped bracket that mounts to the swivel pin assembly (#9) at the area circled in red. This bracket is needed so I can steer my kicker from the helm through a quick disconnect rod. One ball would mount at the tip of the bracket for the steering linkage rod. Mercury does not have this part listed in the parts catalog. Any ideas?

OK I did some more digging and I think I found it but... the bracket assembly (available seperately) comes with part #1 (bracket), and part #3 (screw), and 2 lock washers. I would prefer to have the key strap as I think this is better able to prevernt screws from working loose due to vibration. Have to see if I can get that strap as a seperate item. If I do will I then need the spacers and longer bolts? Anyone have this set up on a Merc 115 with a kicker?

I built my own out of stainless steel. Pretty simple, actually but I had a kind of unique situation in that the kicker sits ahead and above the main motor. Had to build one custom bracket for each motor. I started with cardboard to get the bends and angles right then transfered to the stainless. I'm sure I spent more time thinking about it than actually building the parts and installing them. However you solve your problem, you will love the results! The boat steers 10x better when both motors turn together and leaving the main down while trolling also lets you keep the kicker RPMs up off idle which works much better for me.

OK the bracket (#1) in post #2 isn't the correct one. Not even close. It is the same bracket I have on my 9.9 kicker. Bolt holes don't line up, bolt diameter is too big, and the link rod assembly (#10) is in the way. Went to local Merc shop and the guy spent 20 minutes looking for it then called Mercury. Even they couldn't figure it out.

I have the bracket off my old 50 that doesn't fit either, but I think I can get something to work, BUT I will need to relocate the link rod to the tip of the bracket. The old bracket mounted with either 5/16" or 3/8" bolts and the new I swear looks like 1/4"-20.

I'm not sure this will be "safe" if I have to modify the bracket. Any thoughts? Need more pics?

I am hoping by moving the steering rod attachment point to the tip of that bracket will make the steering a little easier also?
