I have a J25ELCTD and the stud sheared off that connects the lower unit through an extension housing to the exhaust housing. The problem that I'm having is it seems the stud that I need is obsolete. It would be between 7 and 7-1/2 inches long and is listed as part 64 on most diagrams. Any help with locating the stud or a different method of attaching these parts together will be greatly appreciated.

Check the top secret files at the beginning of this forum and look for salvage yards. Temporarliy you could make one out of some threaded rod.

Your local Evinrude dealer could have been of great help to you. The original stud in question (321926) has been superceded to 330060. That second number shows as a "still current" part in their database. Call them an order one up. They have over 10 in their prime warehouse.

Thanks for the input guys. The 0330060 stud is the short stud and not meant for the extension housing. I will do the search for salvage yards and see what I can come up with. I have thought about the threaded rod, but decided against it for now until I have no other options.

This US Evinrude dealer has 3 pcs of new parts still in stock. Give him a call to purchase one and he will ship it to you.

Thanks for all the input guys. I was able to locate the alleged part from a company that I found in the Top Secret files under salvage yards. I guess I will find out for sure on Friday.
