Hello
you need a manual. buy one from the many posts that are here. I usually place the controls in forward gear then remove the trim tab.dissconnect the speedo tube. remove the two nuts from underneath the cavitation plate just fwd of the tab they have 5/8ths heads. remove the bolt under the tab 9/16ths head. remove the fwd most nut 5/8ths then back off the side nuts until they almost touch the exhaust housing. shake the unit until it starts dropping. finnish removing the 2 side nuts/washers. the unit will then slide off. unless it is a saltwater engine then the corrosion gods will give a thumbs up or down :) :) . If you can do the removal and reinstall on the unit odds are you could do the pump. if you try the pump yourself cut no corners buy at least the upper housing kit. if the lower shows no signs of melting it can be left alone. if it has any signs of melted plastic it must be replaced,
Good luck and keep posting :)

Why yea, if you can take the lower unit off, you can sure do the water pump impellar job.

Just make sure to get it back in going the right way.
Good luck.
